Today I took the first steps in donating my baby’s cord blood. On top of being an organ donor myself, I’ve always known that I wanted to do something to help others if I was physically able to. For awhile now I had actually strongly considered surrogacy, but with this pregnancy (my third) not going exactly as planned, I’m beginning to realize that will probably not be an option for me. After doing some research it took all of one second for me to make a decision to do something else though. I decided that I will be donating my unborn’s cord blood when she joins us in October.  Continue reading →
