My daughter loves fairies. I growing up loved them too…a little bit of me still does
For her birthday she got a fairy garden from my mom. If you have never heard of them, look them up. They are adorable. This one was bought as a kit, but two years ago my mother put one together with her garden club out of a decorative clay pot (shallower kind) different miniature plants (which can be found at your local greenhouse), and miniature objects and tools. The idea is it give fairies a place to go at night
I love the idea, here is her’s below.
I think I might make my own this year, it’s Ava’s favorite thing to play with at my mom’s and it isn’t difficult to take care of at all. It also is obviously adorable.
Anyways. I posted something on my Facebook about how I hope the fairies in my daughter’s garden bring some sticky dust. Ava had no clue what I was talking about, so I told her about the TTC community and about the little things that can be said as well wishes. I explained sticky dust and baby dust to her and she thought that it was the most magical thing in the world.
I’ll probably send her to my mom (the nurse practitioner OBGYN) when it comes time to explain where babies really come from, but for now fairies is a nice change from the ugly stork. Anyways. After I explained this to her she said that she will ring her bell tonight (that is to signal to the fairies of course) and ask them to bring extra baby dust for all the TTC friends of mine. I told her this would be a great idea.
