Pregnancy Update – Week 35, cravings, crankiness, and exhaustion

Week 35…tick…tick…tick…ONLY TWO MORE WEEKS TILL FULL TERM!

*The gown that I’m wearing in this picture is by Pretty Pushers which is a company that makes disposable delivery gowns. I will not only be doing a full review on this gown and their post partum undies, but also Pretty Pushers will be offering a Giveaway through this blog as well next week!!!!*

We are so excited. Currently there have been no new fun and exciting symptoms this week. If anything has changed it would probably just be my over all mood. As some of you know from my blog post this morning , I’ve been a bit…moody. Luckily I’ve been able to control it…mostly. Continue reading

Pregnancy Update – Week 34, nipples, narcotics, and pee…oh Kelli…

Uchi Mama Ring Sling Review

About a month ago I was contacted by a woman from Canada who hand crafts ring slings, wraps, nursing covers, ponchos, and belly bands. After perusing her website I fell in love with a rust colored linen ring sling and she was gracious enough to send it to me to review! Now even though ring slings, wraps, and regular slings are getting quite popular, I still feel like a lot of parents are a little stand offish still when it comes to them. I completely understand. Because they don’t have hooks, snaps, and other closures it seems a little intimidating and a bit concerning when you’re thinking about it holding your precious child!

After my first child was born I received a regular cloth sling and felt like it just looked too flimsy to hold my little one. I disregarded it and went for a front carrying Baby Bjorn. Not only was the Bjorn hard to adjust (for me), but it also took up a lot of space and if someone else like my mother wanted to use it, they had to re-adjust it again which took forever. I also wasn’t a huge fan of how bulky and unattractive it was. So because I ignored the suggestions of cloth slings and I ended up being unhappy with my Bjorn I was left to carry my daughter around freely.

With my son I was older and wiser ;) , and decided to be more open-minded and try new things. I am now kicking myself. After experiencing the beauty, ease, and versatility of wraps and slings I regret that I didn’t give them a chance the first time around. So with this child I will have no regrets and will be open-minded to anything that comes my way. Even though I don’t have a huge amount of experience with ring slings, I have used a regular sling and the Moby Wrap with my son. Even though I love the Moby, it is long, takes a little longer to put on, and for some it can be quite overwhelming, so when Mariela from Uchi Mama sent me a ring sling to try I was ecstatic.  Continue reading

VEDA Day 31 – The End.

I did it. I successfully recorded, edited, and uploaded a video EVERY DAY IN AUGUST. Yay! Today seems bittersweet. As much as I’m excited to go about my life again normally with a video a few times a week without any pressure, I am sad to not see everyone every day :( . What is that saying? Absence makes the heart grow fonder? ;)

VEDA Day 30 – Pregnancy, what I will miss, and what I won’t.

No matter how wonderful some things are, there can be some things that aren’t so wonderful about them too. Pregnancy is one of those things. For VEDA Day 30 I am doing a topic suggested by a Facebook friend. Things that I will miss about being pregnant, and things that I won’t. I will say that I had to set a limit on how many things I would list both good and bad, because the video would have been hours long if I didn’t. So here are the five things good, and five things bad about my pregnancy.
